Is it safe to oil pull if you have amalgam fillings?

So I’ve been oil pulling with coconut oil for a few months (not daily, but a few times a week). I like how fresh it makes my mouth feel, but I just read that if you have silver/amalgam fillings, the oil might pull mercury out of them?? I’ve got a couple old ones and now I’m worried. Anyone know if that’s true?

I oil pull every day and still have 2 amalgams. From everything I’ve read, the oil doesn’t actually dissolve mercury. The “detox” effect people talk about is more about reducing bacteria/plaque. Amalgams already release tiny amounts of vapor when you chew or drink hot stuff, but swishing oil at room temp isn’t gonna make that worse.
