A respectful discussion about our depression whether it is bipolar disorder or seasonal affective disorder. We can openly share coping strategies, symptoms and treatment.

‎Have you tried medication, support groups and therapy?

‎Your experiences can help others to feel less alone so let's support others through sharing.

This whole depression thing is rough, I don’t even know if mine is just regular depression or like bipolar swings or maybe just the stupid winter thing making it worse. I get days where I just don’t want to move, can’t even drag myself outta bed. I tried meds, some worked for a bit then side effects made me quit, therapy feels like it helps but sometimes I hate going. I sat in a support group once and hearing people say the same stuff i feel was kinda comforting tho. I tried all the “fix yourself naturally” stuff too, vitamin d, going for walks, eating better, even stupid herbal teas, sometimes it helps a bit but it never really fixes it. Do you just let it pass or do you force yourself to try every treatment out there?

Depression myself sometimes feels like nothing matters. I tried therapy helped a bit just talking to someone meds took time to work but they made mornings easier. Support group was good too hearing others go through same thing makes you feel not crazy. Some days still heavy but I learned to push with small routines like walking eating right sleeping regular.
Who tried different treatments what really worked for you what didn't?
